Fujitsu Document Scanners
Document Management and Document Imaging systems require document scanners to
scan paper documents and save them as images.
Fujitsu is the leading supplier of scanners for document
management systems. With many years of imaging experience Fujitsu’s range of
high performance desktop and process document scanners are specifically designed
to meet the heavy work loads and the increased flexibility required for document
imaging applications.

of 1000 A4 documents per day and the ability to scan at 30ppm (simplex) / 60 ipm
duplex in mono or full 24 bit colour and the ability of red/green/blue dropout
the scanner has unlimited potential.
The Fujitsu fi-5120C offers high quality output resolution up to 600dpi. Control over
error diffusion, colour dropout and gamma correction via the driver allows a
wide variety of documents to be scanned. The user selectable black/white
background enables the use of document de-skew and autocropping of mixed document
and high quality scanning of thin documents.
With a slide away output tray the scanner can be positioned
near the users workstation for ease of use. When not in use the scanner reverts
to a sleep mode using only 6 watts of power.
A "Scan" button on the scanner allows the scanning process to be
started from the scanner.
A "Send" button allows the document to be scanned and sent to either
your default printer or selected application on your PC.
The fi-5120C has both an industry standard SCSI and USB 2.0 interface as
standard.
The fi-5120C2 can accept a post imprinter unit to stamp the back each scanned
document with up to 40 characters serving as further proof that all documents
have been scanned.

Fujitsu
fi-5000N
The Fujitsu fi-5000N, is Fujitsus' network adapter for document scanners. The
fi-5000N enables organisations to make more efficient use of workgroup scanners
by allowing up to 32 employees to share each scanner. The fi-5000N connects to
the network by Ethernet and can be accessed by any authorised employee via a
secure fingerprint recognition system.
Once the user identification has been confirmed, individuals gain unrestricted
access to all the functions of the relevant scanner model, such as double feed
control, auto cropping, de-skew and the imprinter. Employees can also set
individual user profiles to determine the destination directory, resolution and
image improvement functions that will be used to capture, digitise and save any
document inserted into the scanner. Individual profiles are automatically
triggered once the secure fingerprint authentication has been activated.
Fujitsu offer a large range of
document scanners to meet all document imaging and document management
requirements, and are suitable for use with Imaging
